Jennifer Lopez is continuing to prove why she’s one of our Best Dressed Stars of 2014. The fashion risk-taker put her famous 45-year-old (!) body on display in three bold looks Thursday while working on the American Idol set.

First up, a long, flowy black-and-white printed design with with a cutout bodice. She gave the look a glam boho feel by adding a wide-brim hat. Her beauty look was quintessential Lopez, consisting of a dark smoky eye, majorly bronzed glow and high-gloss lip.

The star’s next look was a total Jenny from the Block throwback: black leather harem pants, a shiny top and exposed bandeau. And finally, she took it to Black Tie J.Lo, wearing a a black sheer lace midi dress with slightly-exposed briefs. She teamed the look with lace-up open-toe booties and a sleek blowout.

If she looks more radiant than usual, it’s because she’s feeling great in her own skin — and has been sharing her feelings on aging with the universe.

“This is good for women,” she told The Insider of her sexy new music video for “Booty” in which she co-stars (and goes butt-to-butt) with 24-year-old rapper Iggy Azalea. “You have to know that you don’t disappear after you’re 28 years old. You can be here, you can be vital and young and sexy and feel good about yourself.”

Her secrets for staying in such great shape? Well, turns out they’re not so secret — it’s all about the right mix of diet and exercise.

“Nobody can escape the hard work that it takes to get results,” she shared. “All of us have to work hard at it and I definitely have to.”

The 45-year-old singer, who looks amazing in everything she wears, showed that a consistent exercise routine pays off. (And we love how her periwinkle sports bra coordinates with her aviators.)

When we saw these gorgeous pics posted on celeb makeup artist Mary Phillips’s Instagram, we thought it was two shots of the same gal. That “bronde” wavy, center-parted hair! The super lush lashes! Those bronze smoky eyes and nude pouty lips! But it turns out that Mary is working with Jennifer Lopez and Khloé Kardashian — which may explain the similarities we’ve noticed in their style in the last few months.

Khloé’s girl crush on Jennifer definitely isn’t a secret. She’s shared links to Lopez’s new album and posted pics of JLo’s (insanely toned) body calling Jennifer her “#WCW” [woman crush Wednesday, for the uninitiated] and “fitness motivation” complete with a lovey-eyed emoji, all on the photo below.. So its only natural that Khloé’s hair, makeup and style is gravitating in a Jenny-esque direction (hey, we look to our fave stars for inspiration too!). And how fitting that they share a makeup artist to give them both that sunkissed glow.

Either way, both babes are gorgeous and have killer style. So we’re going to try and channel our inner KLo (get it?!) this weekend. The formula: a long-sleeved leopard dress, black pointy pumps, sleek strands and bold makeup.

If you monitor Jennifer Lopez‘s outfit choices as closely as we do, you probably noticed a recent shift in her style. The superstar has been finding inspiration in what we like to call a “’70s-inspired diva” mode, a stark contrast from the very JLo outfits (think cutouts and lots of leather) she usually wears.

We first noticed something brewin’ when she stepped out in a pair of pleated Alice + Olivia gaucho pants, a heavily-embellished gold Naeem Khan top and Melinda Maria jewels last week. That top knot was classic Lopez; the rest of the outfit, not so much.

Next, the American Idol judge selected a sky blue, knee-length Emanuel Ungaro turtleneck dress, flashing her impressive leg muscles thanks to that front slit. She topped the design with an oversize ivory Atea Oceanie coat while out in N.Y.C., for a look that reminds us of something Amy Adams character would wear in American Hustle.

And most recently, the singer chose a peter-pan collared Valentino mini, for the most girlie look we’ve seen on the star in a while. (Emma Stone will definitely be wearing it next. Or Kris Jenner.) Add some serious shades and platform Mary Janes and the star’s “Miss Lady” look is in full effect.

Jennifer Lopez‘s current style parade shows no signs of slowing down. We previously mentioned the star’s shift from her typical ‘Jenny From the Block’ dresscode to a more retro-inspired look, and now JLo has been testing out a different unique trend we like to call the ‘super-sexy lady suit.’

Most recently, Lopez opted for an all-white ensemble, complete with a lacy top and gold-buttoned sailor pants, by Zuhair Murad, worn to an event to promote her new book True Love in N.Y.C. She added a touch of color to her clean outfit with a gold clutch and Charlotte Olympia platform heels. Lopez chose a super-straight do to complete the sophisticated-meets-sassy outfit.

The white look was definitely way tamer than the skin-baring criss-cross Milly top and Paule Ke high-waisted trouser pants Lopez selected for a taping of the Late Show With David Letterman in N.Y.C. She finished the look with a blazer-inspired Noon by Noor cape, natural makeup and a pulled-back hairstyle.

And then of course, for the sexiest suit moment of them all, Lopez chose an ICB emerald green cropped jacket and high-waisted trousers, once again showing off her amazing abs. She paired the suit with cutout Christian Louboutin booties while filming auditions for American Idol in L.A.

Marc Anthony and Shannon de Lima hit their first red carpet as a married couple Thursday at the Latin Grammys, and their newlywed glow was a little extra radiant thanks to the shiny new wedding bands they were sporting. Let’s take a closer look.

The couple, who married earlier this month in an intimate ceremony at Anthony’s home in La Romana, Dominican Republic, got cozy front row at the awards show, and their new hardware was impossible to miss. To go with her massive three-stone engagement ring, the Venezuelan model is now wearing a thick diamond-studded band. Anthony went for a more understated, simple style, which we’d guess is platinum.

Anthony’s divorce from ex-wife Jennifer Lopez was finalized in June, and the stars are committed to raising their children together.

“It’s tough because I know they feel the void of that male presence,” Lopez told Elle UK. “When Marc and I first broke up, I did think: ‘I wish I could have held this together.’ But when you realize it’s not the right thing for anybody, you think: ‘OK, well ,how do we make this work, how do we make this better, how do we make this great for the children anyway?’”

Sorry, Jared Leto. Another man bun is stealing the spotlight in Hollywood right now. Casper Smart hit the PEOPLE Magazine Awards with what’s probably going to be the biggest hair moment of the evening: a ballerina bun with a bit of a sumo wrestler twist. Or maybe it’s the guy version of a top knot? (And yes, we’re as surprised as you are at Smart’s do: We had Jeff Bridges sporting a man bun in our office pool. Oh, well.)

We’ll give you a minute to take in the look. Back? Okay, good. We didn’t realize that Smart’s hair was long enough for such an epic updo, but regardless we love that he took a risk. You also probably noticed that he has a buzz cut happening on the sides, adding even more drama.

J Woah! We knew Jennifer Lopez would bring her signature brand of sexy, skin-baring style to the PMA red carpet, but she still managed to make our jaws hit the floor with her dramatic look: a sparkling jumpsuit with a neckline so low that it simultaneously showed off her upper abs (in case you forgot how much time she spends working out).

Lopez teamed her nude, über-plunging Naeem Khan onesie with a box clutch and super-long hair extensions. And she definitely was feeling her look, captioning the below photo on Instagram, “You know momma loves a onesie.” (She also told PEOPLE’s Style and Beauty Director Andrea Lavinthal and West Coast Deputy News Editor Jen Garcia that her bold jumpsuit might just be her favorite outfit of 2014.) As for her beauty look, the 45-year-old star went for a gold metallic eye and nude lip to go with her overall glow.

Lopez won the “Triple Threat” award at the PMAs for her impressive resume as singer, actor and producer.

“For me whether it’s singing or dancing, I’m so blessed and fortunate to do what I do,” she said in her acceptance speech. “I love to entertain. It’s so important to cherish every moment and treat others well — to enjoy this life and be happy in every single moment. I’m so grateful for my career and my life. Aniston, 45, went for a black mini (as we expected) but her blowout definitely looked extra bouncy (and her legs extra toned!). The star gave a gracious, eloquent speech while on stage accepting her award for Movie Performance of the Year for her role in Cake.

Lopez also took home an PMA for being a “Triple Threat”: singer, actor and producer.

There was a lot to discuss at the PEOPLE Magazine Awards: That hair! That outfit! This insanity! But one trend really had a moment: The jumpsuit.

From left, Nicole Richie wore a very Nicole Richie outfit: A stylish, tailored black jumpsuit with a low-cut bodice and sheer sleeves embellished appliqués on the sleeves. She carried a fringed clutch and added sparkle at her neck and ears thanks to some custom baubles she had whipped up by her own line, House of Harlow 1960.

Jennifer Lopez, on the other hand, wore an extremely J.Lo ensemble: A super-plunging, sheer, sparkling, nude Naeem Khan jumpsuit (yep, we’ve got a look at every angle for you). The rest of her look was just as “signature Jenny from the Block” — right down to the oodles of Kwiat diamonds — and she delivered the go-to smolder to go with.

Finally, Ariel Winter, who gave her NBD x Naven Twins jumpsuit a custom twist with white trim added to the bodice by her stylist. It gave it a fun, modern vibe, but it served another purpose: to help the 16-year-old feel comfortable on the red carpet. “It’s interesting, because I’m very young, but I have a more mature body,” she said on the red carpet. “So it’s a blessing and a curse. I have to find things that are appropriate to wear but also fit my body well, so it still looks good.”

We can all agree that the beauty looks at the PEOPLE Magazine Awards were seriously on-point, but there were a few that stood out to us above the rest. And because we couldn’t resist, we tracked down these stars’ glam squad for the inside scoop on the hottest looks (that you may want to copy this weekend!).

Jennifer Aniston‘s Golden Glow: “I wanted Jen to be an even combination of Hollywood glamour and professional woman at the same time,” makeup artist Angela Levin tells PEOPLE of the star’s bronzed, peachy look. To get the glow just right, Levin prepped the Aveeno spokeswoman’s skin with the brand’s Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer — “I applied it generously on her face and neck and let it absorb for about five minutes,” she says. (We recommend doing that with your lip care, too!)

She then used Chanel products, including the line’s Lift Lumière fluid makeup in “Soft Bisque” and Natural Finish pressed powder in “Naturel” for a polished look, then “warmed her face with Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Colour in “No. 40.” Healthy, flushed cheeks came courtesy of the line’s Le Blush crème blush in “Destiny,” applied with fingers along the cheekbones for a natural look.

“Using the dark color from CHANEL Quadra Eyeshadow in ‘Tissé Rivoli’ I lined her upper and lower lash line and into the crease,” Levin says. “The gold color was on her lids and the lightest color under the brow bone inner eye corners and on outer corners of the eye, that is to create a lifted effect. I used a Sephora black gel intense liner and three coats of CHANEL mascara in ‘Noir,’ then finished with a beautiful coat of CHANEL Rouge Allure gloss in ‘Sensible.'”

Manicurist Tom Bachik gave us the step-by-step of client Jennifer Lopez’s high-shine ruby talons. And don’t be fooled by the deceptively simple look — there’s a lot to them!

STEP 1: Apply one coat of the L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche Nail Sparkling Soiree Collection in “Tuxedo Noir “as the base coat — it’s a black shade with a holographic shimmer.
STEP 2: Apply two coats of the L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche Nail in “Caught Red Handed” as it gives a slightly blood red effect and jumps off the black.
STEP 3: Use the L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche Nail in “Top of the Line” as the top coat.
STEP 4: Finish off with the L’Oréal Paris Age Perfect Glow Renewal Oil as the cuticle oil to rehydrate and give a last shiny glow.

Makeup artist Tamah said of Elisabeth Moss’s look, “Our inspiration was a modern day Marilyn Monroe. Who better, ever?!” She achieved the star’s look like so:

On Elisabeth’s eyes I used Benefit Cream Color in “Flatter Me” and I applied it with a fluffy brush for a really soft look. At her lash line I blended Bobbi Brown Gel Liner in “Black” and layered MAC “Costa Riche” eyeliner over that with a pencil brush for a super soft smudgy look I layered a bit of that under her bottom lashes as well for definition. I filled in Elisabeth’s natural brow shape with Anastasia Brow Wiz in Carmel. On the cheeks I used MAC Cream Color in Something Special and topped that off with TopShop bronzer in “Sandcastle.” I finished her look with a lick of NYX Butter Lipstick in “Big Cherry” and a light dusting of Laura Mercier Translucent Powder.

She’s 56 and just wore one as part of a tuxedo-style ensemble at the premiere of her Lifetime movie Whitney on Tuesday in Beverly Hills. Oh, and she totally pulled it off.

20s: Sure, your teens and 20s might seem like the time to show it off, but stars often make more of a statement when they’re not letting it all hang out. 24-year-old Iggy Azalea’s People’s Choice Awards ensemble was much more demure than her body-con (or shall we say “booty-con”) performance looks.

30s: Also at the People’s Choice Awards, Katharine McPhee, 30, opted to show only a sliver of stomach but a little more than a sliver of sternum. The black-and-white palette is classic and muted enough to make the risqué cut feel modern. The cut of her halter is a not-so-obvious way to show skin (just in case you’re getting sick of classic cleavage).

40s: We know that not many ladies (regardless of age!) have Jennifer Lopez‘s six pack. But if you’re 45 like her and you’d like to try the trend, consider this more than just body inspiration. Bold suiting and statement heels are almost as eye-catching as the abs in this look, and the high neck, long sleeves and slouchy bottoms make for stylish ways to cover up.

If you’ve been asking yourself how to classify Jennifer Lopez‘s bold Golden Globes look, we have the answer. It’s actually a silver “art deco inspired beaded sheer caftan,” according to designer Zuhair Murad. (Quite a mouthful, right?)

“I love him he’s one of my favorite designers,” Lopez, 45, said of Murad, the man behind her bold, plunging design (featuring a mega front slit!) from the fall/winter 2014-2015 collection. And she liked the look so much, she made sure to save it for the huge Hollywood event. “I actually had it at the AMAs [American Music Awards], but I thought it was more of a Golden Globes dress. It has a big cape.”

While most people are still swooning over the gorgeous gowns that graced last night’s red carpet, we can’t stop thinking about the glamorous beauty choices — especially the lipstick and nail colors. Here are the six looks that we can’t wait to recreate ourselves.

Keira Knightley reminds us that a lipstick’s texture is just as important as color! Her soft, romantic cherry stain perfectly suited her whimsical Chanel gown. To create it, her makeup artist Kate Lee used Chanel Rouge Coco Ultra Hydrating Lip Colour in Etienne. But instead of just applying it like usual, Lee “painted her lips fully, blotted off the color with a tissue and softened the edge with a cotton tip. “We were going for a bitten, stained berry lip as opposed to a strong statement lip,” Lee explains.

Lupita Nyong’o is often a beauty rule-breaker, and her bold eye and lip look didn’t disappoint. Inspired by “romance,” her makeup artist Nick Barose paired violet smoky lids with a blend of three different lip products (Lancome’s Le Lipstique in Sheer Chocolate, Color Design in Hit List and Lip Lover in Framboise Etoile) to create that perfect glossy plum.

Most people would take the smoky-eye-and-nude-lip approach when wearing a silver gown, creating a bombshell effect. Instead, Diane Kruger opted for subtle platinum shadow and iridescent pastel pink lips, giving her whole ensemble a futuristic-ethereal vibe that we fell in love with!

In the nail department, most of the night’s leading ladies kept things simple with barely-there pink hues. But not Jennifer Lopez, Jenna Dewan-Tatum and Laura Prepon. Lopez’s nails may seem like a regular rose-gold manicure from the top. But flip them over and you’ll find an extra blingy surprise: Her nail pro, L’Oréal Paris’s Tom Bachik, applied two Swarovski crystals beneath each nail. Mrs. Channing Tatum went simply-chic with a modern twist, wearing a greige opaque polish instead of the basic sheer nude. And finally, Orange is the New Black star Prepon made two major mani statements by sporting a deep metallic bronze painted onto long almond-shaped tips.

Ice, Ice J.Lo!? Jennifer Lopez is never one to shy away from sparkle. But this week, with the Golden Globes and numerous stops on her The Boy Next Door promotional tour, she’s been more blinged-out than usual. So much, in fact, that we’ve been taking notes on how many dazzling jewels the star has been draping herself in. Below, we break down three of her most iced-out looks in both carat count and retail price — trust us, you won’t believe how much they actually cost.

For an appearance on On-Air with Ryan Seacrest to promote her new thriller, Lopez stacked on a ton of Norman Silverman pieces. Ready for the count (you should probably sit down before reading any further)? With her hoop earrings, a three-stone diamond ring, a double diamond ring, a diamond stack ring and diamond-line bracelets, her carat total adds up to 150 and retails for over $1 million.

As for the superstar’s second super-luxe look, Lopez once again piled on the sparkly baubles during a visit to the Univision Headquarters in Miami. She wore her previously-worn Norman Silverman Diamonds (minus a few), which all add up to 106 carats and retail for over $1 million. Plus, she added a Harry Kotlar 19-carat flawless emerald-cut ring worth $1.2 million to her diamond party. In total, Lopez had on 125 carats worth over $2.2 million. (Are you keeping track of all this math?)

And finally, at the Golden Globes, JLo selected a pair of Lorraine Schwartz platinum mesh earrings, a three-stone 18-carat platinum diamond ring and a 7-carat platinum pinky ring. For the afterparty, she kept on the jewels but added 20 carats of Norman Silverman Diamonds (worth over $1 million) and the 19-carat Harry Kotlar platinum emerald-cut diamond ring again. Total carat count? 64!

Jennifer Lopez, 45, is many things. A multi-hyphenate performer. A diva. A mom of two. An astoundingly ageless human being. One thing she is not? A frequent bangs wearer. So her deliberate hairstyling choice on Monday got our attention.

We saw her hitting the streets with these center-parted, combed forward, super-long bangs on Monday morning, but chalked it up to the windy weather in N.Y.C. Then we saw her on Live With Kelly & Michael and the look was even more in-your-face. Or, rather, in her face.

She normally goes for one of two looks: A serious bombshell blowout (as seen above left) or a sleek and slicked ponytail (as seen here). So to comb forward, zhuzz up and tease out her bangs feels very deliberate — like, perhaps, she wants us to have a discussion about them in the comments. So who are we to deny her?

Jennifer Lopez has been very busy promoting her new film The Boy Next Door, which is great news for JLo style fans. Because the actress — who happens to be PEOPLE’s covergirl this week! — has been on a non-stop fashion parade. For a day of N.Y.C. appearances Tuesday, Lopez changed three times in less than 12 hours. Let’s talk about it.

Lopez started her day at an appearance on The Wendy Williams show, photographed outside the studio wearing a gorgeous black pleated coat with a cinched waist and on-trend cap-toe pumps. As for her hair, she went for that half-up style she loves that shows off her long bangs.

Next, she headed to The Daily Show wearing a ladylike winter white ensemble. The statement piece? Her fur-trimmed topper. Oh, and she decided to pull her hair up in a bouncy pony.

Lastly, Lopez left her chat with Jon Stewart in a completely different outfit: a black-and-white coat layered over a sheer ensemble (the outfit she wore for a screening of the Boy Next Door later Tuesday night). And she also slicked back her bangs for a modern wet hair look.

PEOPLE’s covergirl took us inside her ginormous closet recently, which she actually pulled from for her role as Claire in the upcoming thriller.

“It was a really low budget movie so we had to go in my closet and find stuff that was lived in — stuff I had for years,” Lopez tells PEOPLE in the below clip. “The character herself is a teacher, so it’s not like she’s going to be in designer clothes all the time. We needed to find some jeans. So we used one pair from my Kohl’s collection — boyfriend-cut, casual jeans.”

She also found a vintage jacket from the back of her wardrobe to wear in the film!

“I might have bought this jacket 8 or 10 years ago,” she says of the plaid topper. “It’s Elizabeth and James. Yes, I’m a fan of the Olsen twins. My mom was a teacher, my sister was a teacher. So I thought of them too.”

As for that famous plunging Versace dress displayed in her closet (serious it’s like a museum!), Lopez explains it’s not exactly Claire’s style. “Claire would probably not wear this Versace dress. It might be a little much for Claire. That’s more of a JLo dress.”
